Kurjey Lhakhang

(4.7)
4.7/5

Kyichu Lhakhang, constructed by Tibet’s inaugural King, Songtsen Gampo, who introduced Buddhism to our land in the 7th century, will be a focal point of our visit. Our group will also explore the His Holiness Dilgo Kyenste Rinpoche Museum, conveniently situated in close proximity to Kyichu Lhakhang.

This expansive and significant temple complex derives its name from the Guru Rinpoche’s body print (kur) preserved in a cave within the oldest of the three structures comprising the complex. Positioned at the conclusion of the paved road, 2.5km from Chakhar Lhakhang, this active temple complex holds historical and spiritual significance.
