It is one of the 108 temples built by the king Songtsen Gampo of Tibet in one day in about the 7th century. Jambay Lakhang Drup is one of the most interesting events. During this festival the chams/dances include Terchham( the Naked Dance) formerly initiated by Terton Dorje Lingpa, Mewang, Macham, Ging Tsholing, Dramtse Ngacham, Zhana Cham etc, which are performed by the local villagers of Norgang, Changwa and Nangsiphel. It’s a 5 day program.
